Hello Everyone,
We’d like to invite you to come cheer on our fellow participants at Carnaval this Sunday!
For the fourth consecutive year, a group of seniors from the 30th Street Senior Center are joining the Latin Dance Grooves (LDG) Carnaval Contingent for the 2026 Carnaval San Francisco Grand Parade this Sunday, May 24th!
This year’s Latin Dance Grooves’s theme, From Many We Are One: A Radiant Celebration of CommUNITY, this intergenerational group—featuring both our elders and neighborhood children—proves that strength emerges from diversity.
Expect bright colors, joyful energy, and intricate footwork featuring Brazilian Samba, Cuban Salsa, and Cha cha cha. Their performance mirrors the beautiful game of fútbol while promoting the rich contributions of Latin culture. As the Latin Dance Grooves team notes, this performance is a “living expression of unity, resilience, and hope,” encouraging everyone to “fill their cups” with joy and gratitude.
