Tai chi class starting October 15th

Tai chi In Person at 30th Street Senior Center, Sequence 1. 

Taichi for fall prevention and arthritis, In person October 15 to December 19, 2024. 10 weeks. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 AM– 12:30 PM with Rowena Richie.

In the beautiful garden at On Lok 30th Street senior Center, 225 30th Street, San Francisco.

We encourage you to participate in as many classes as possible to learn the form and graduate from the program. The curriculum of the classes in based on Sun Tai-chi Style which is a gentle type of tai-chi. The movements were modified by Dr. Paul Lam the director of Tai-chi for Health Institute  to tailor them for people with arthritis.  Studies have found that the program improves balance. It also decreases pain and improves physical function in people with osteoarthritis of hips or knees by increasing muscular strength and flexibility.
